The 2001 Island Games in
Isle of Man was the 7th edition in which afootball (soccer) tournament was played in theIsland Games . It was contested by 12 teams and played two stages, the first one on a group basis and the second one in a knockout system.Guernsey won that tournament, and became for the first time Island Games champion.Participants
