Guiffy History

Guiffy SureMerge was developed by Bill Ritcher and first released in 2000. The Guiffy product is a Pure Java application with a Swing GUI, available on all Java-enabled platforms including: Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and Unix.

Since 2003 Seapine Software has licensed Guiffy SureMerge --- it's the diff and merge built into the Surround SCM product. Other licensed partners include Visible Systems, CA: Wily Tech, e-Spirit and Juniper Networks.

The Guiffy Software product includes GUI applications and non-GUI applications - both with complete command line interfaces for integrations with other toolsets.And, for seamless integrations, the Guiffy software product set includes a Java API diff/merge library package.

Guiffy Software, Inc., originally founded in Escondido, CA, relocated to the St. Louis area (Festus / Crystal City, MO) in August 2005.

In 2006, Guiffy SureMerge was awarded a 16th annual Jolt Productivity Award in recognition of its advanced trustworthy 3-way auto merge solution.

Guiffy SureMerge is used all over the world in over 30 countries by more than 30,000 professionals.
