Anne Marie Tiernon

Anne Marie Tiernon (year of birth missing) is an American journalist. She currently anchors at NBC affiliate WTHR in Indianapolis, Indiana, alongside Scott Swan at 5:30 p.m.; and with John Stehr at 6 p.m.

Career

Anne Marie Tiernon started her career at WMBD-TV 31 in Peoria, Illinois in 1989 Fact|date=October 2007. Then in 1991, she headed to Indianapolis where she began reporting for WISH-TV's 11PM newscast and anchored the CBS affilaite's 5:30 PM newscast, with colleague Scott Swan. From 2000 to 2004, Tiernon was a news anchor at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio as the anchor of the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts, alongide veteran anchor Dave Wagner. An Emmy award-winning journalist, Tiernon has covered major and minor reports for her career. Her medical reports have earned her a first place National Headliner Award for Medical/Science Reporting.

Personal life

Anne Marie Tiernon, a Fort Wayne, Indiana Native, has three children with her husband.
