Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility (ARWCF) is a new
prison (completed May 2006) in theWiri suburb ofManukau City ,Auckland ,New Zealand . The facility provides 286 beds (remand and sentenced), and serves the 5% female share of the New Zealand prisoner population. It is classified as low- to medium-security, surrounded by a 6 m high fence and guarded and serviced by 187 staff.
