Silesian Military District

Silesian Military District

Silesian Military District ( _pl. Śląski Okręg Wojskowy) with HQ in Wrocław is one of two current military districts in Poland (the other being the Pomeranian Military District).

Its history dates back to the aftermath of World War II, when Military District Silesia ("Okręg Wojskowy Śląsk") was formed in 1945.
