Adler Publishing

Adler Publishing is an independent publishing company based in Castle Rock, Colorado. Formerly known as Swagman Publishing, the company was established by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson in 1999.

Adler principally publishes outdoor guide books for Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and California. Their books were some of the first to include GPS coordinates in their directions. According to Off Road Business Magazine, their Backcountry Adventures and Trails series, aimed at average to hardcore SUV owners, provide a unique opportunity to wander through the past, primarily focusing on Western ghost towns, both famous and forgotten, with detailed maps to reach them. In 2002, Adler Publishing acquired Outdoor Books and Maps and continues to publish these Colorado fishing, hiking, camping, and biking titles.
