- Vernon March
Vernon March (1891-1930) was a British artist and sculptor, known for his design of Canadian monuments such as the National War Memorial of
Ottawa and the Champlain Monument ofOrillia, Ontario .He was born at
Kingston upon Hull ,England and was based at Farnborough, Kent,England . March unexpectedly died ofpneumonia in 1930, during the construction of the National War Memorial for Ottawa. His siblings completed his work on the monument until its completion in 1939.References
