The Outcasts are a fictional group of characters from the Marvel Universe.

Publication history

The Outcasts first appeared in Fantastic Four Annual #13 (1978). The superhuman members of the Outcasts first appeared in Marvel Treasury Edition #25 (1980), and were created by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema.

The Outcasts subsequently appear in The Incredible Hulk #263 (September 1981), ROM #28-29 (March-April 1982), Iron Man Annual #12 (1991), and Captain America #389-392 (August-September 1991).

Fictional biography

The Outcasts are people who are ugly, deformed, or disabled who believe themselves to be outcasts in human society and have therefore chosen to live under the Mole Man's rule in Subterranea. The Mole Man has granted superhuman powers to a number of the Outcasts.[1]

The Mole Man has sent the superhuman Outcasts against a number of opponents, including Kala, Avalanche, the Dire Wraiths, and Iron Man.

  • Boulder [2] - has superhuman strength; current whereabouts is unknown.
  • Digger [2] - he can slice through most substances with his clawed hands
  • Landslide [2] - can induce shattering internal vibrations within a person or object by touching it
  • Water Witch [2] - controls water with a wand (she was also a member of the Femizons briefly)

The Outcasts are a fictional group of characters from the Marvel Comics universe. They are animals and plant life that were mutated during the same gamma radiation explosion that mutated Bruce Banner.

Fictional biography

The Outcasts are animals mutated by radiation exposure outside of a Gamma Base and lived in Bruce Banner's old Desert Lab. They befriended the Rick Jones version of the Hulk until they were attacked by the Gamma Base.
