Sligo-Leitrim (Dáil Éireann constituency)

Sligo-Leitrim is a former constituency which was represented in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas. The constituency which existed from 1948–2007, spanned the entire area of the two counties in the province of Connacht, taking in Sligo, Carrick-on-Shannon and many other areas. In 2002, the constituency had an electorate of 70,460 and returned four Teachtaí Dála (TDs). The method of election was the Single Transferable Vote. The constituency was abolished for 2007 general election, it was replaced by new constituencies of Roscommon-South Leitrim and Sligo-North Leitrim.
