- Sligo-Leitrim (Dáil Éireann constituency)
Sligo-Leitrim is a former
constituency which was represented inDáil Éireann , the lower house of the Irish parliament orOireachtas . The constituency which existed from 1948–2007, spanned the entire area of the two counties in the province ofConnacht , taking inSligo ,Carrick-on-Shannon and many other areas. In 2002, the constituency had an electorate of 70,460 and returned four Teachtaí Dála (TDs). The method of election was theSingle Transferable Vote . The constituency was abolished for 2007 general election, it was replaced by new constituencies of Roscommon-South Leitrim and Sligo-North Leitrim.2002 Election result
