Peter Hooton (born
28 September 1962 , inLiverpool ) was the leadvocalist of Liverpool-based pop group The Farm. He was also one of its founder members in the 1980s under the name 'Soul of Socialism'. Prior to his involvement inmusic , he had been a youth worker and edited the legendary magazine/ footballfanzine , 'The End'. He has had many articles published inThe Guardian ,NME ,Four Four Two and Loaded. He has just been involved in publishing a book aboutLiverpool FC 's seven European Cup Finals called 'Here We Go Gathering Cups in May'.He is married and has a son named Thomas and a daughter, Ella. He sometimes lectures at the
Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts , founded byPaul McCartney . He lives inCrosby, Merseyside , and remains a Liverpool FC season ticket holder. He is a regular onLFC TV andRadio Merseyside giving his views on football. His band The Farm have just recorded a version of Needles and Pins for the forthcoming No 1 Project which features Liverpool artists covering Liverpool No 1 hits from the past 50 years.External links
