The Norman Shield

The Norman Shield

The Norman Shield is the reference manual of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. It is intended to be a "well of knowledge during pledgeship" and for active membership. More topical is a list of famous and "Significant Sigs", explanations of chapter and Grand officers, and Sigma Chi events, governing bodies, and scholarships. The current edition is its 42nd, dated for the years 2007-09.

The Norman Shield has been recognized by the College Fraternity Editors' Association at least twice; in 2004 it was given an Award of Merit and in 2006 it was awarded First Place in the Manual category.
