Chelsea Korka (born June 10, 1986) is an American pop singer and former beauty pageant queen. As of 2007 she is a member of Pussycat Dolls' European spin-off group the Paradiso Girls. She is best known for her participation in the CW network TV show "", where she was the 2nd runner-up.

Early years

Korka was an outgoing young girl who learned and loved everything about Marvel Comics, video games, and action. Despite her somewhat boyish interests, she was still very much a girl, playing with make-up and shopping with friends. However, she managed to lose weight in her middle school years through diet and exercise. Then in 2006, in a "spur of the moment" decision, she decided to take part in "Pussycat Dolls Present". As well, she became Miss West Brodward USA 2007 at the age of 19 and competed in Miss Florida USA. Chelsea is ethnically Hungarian.

Thanks to her voice, admired by both contestants, judges and often compared to Christina Aguilera's, Korka made it to the semi-finals, where she was one of the girls who got sickPussycat Dolls Present: the Search for the Next Doll Episode 1 : The Auditions] compromising her chances, but Robin Antin felt she was the girl with the most potential and decided to have her move on to the next round. Throughout the competition she struggled with her dancing and had an underlying feud with fellow contestant Melissa Smith about it. Yet, even though the final four elimination round featured harsh choreography, she moved on together with Melissa Reyes, and Asia Nitollano. She finished third and many of her fans felt it was because of her strong vocals which would have outshined some of the other dolls.

Paradiso Girls

Chelsea has since joined the Paradiso Girls, which is a five-member group Robin Antin created and aimed for Europe and then to be introduced to the US. Each girl represents a country, with Chelsea representing the USA. Chelsea has been taking dancing classes with the other members. Per her myspace page Chelsea Korka has confirmed that she has resolved her contractual issues with the Paradiso Girls and will remain with them. Producers Fernando Garibay and will.i.am have confirmed in past interviews they are producing tracks for the upcoming album.

olo career

In September 2008 Chelsea confirmed on her Myspace that she is indeed recording a debut album. Chelsea's Myspace page features Give Me A Sign and Better Than. Both Demo's had an Electronica/Pop/Dance feel to it which may be the album's genre. It is unknown which label she is signed to and when the album is released but Chelsea has confirmed her main focus in Paradiso Girls as of right now.

Other endeavors

Keeping in touch with Antin, she later took part in the Fashion Cares 2007 event where she performed a "Pink Panther/Fever" medley alongside Girlesque, Melissa Smith, and Melissa Reyes. Personal life

Korka said in an interview with the CW Channel "I love to play video games and my favorite one is Halo, but Mario's the man." "I think that if I could wear anything everyday, it would have to be either a bathing suit or a Betsey Johnson dress". "I love to go to the movies, bowling, theme parks, and anything that just pretty much makes a good memory". Per Korka herself, she is currently "very happy" with her serious boyfriend of over a year music producer Fernando Garibay.
