The Associated Actors and Artistes of America (4As), an AFL-CIO affiliate, is the primary association of trade unions for performing artists in the United States. It is the parent organization of:
* The Actors' Equity Association (AEA)
* The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA)
* The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA)
* The American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA)
* The Hebrew Actors' Union (HAU) [defunct]
* The Screen Actors Guild (SAG)
* The Guild of Italian American Actors (GIAA)

The well-known performer and civil rights activist, Theodore Bikel, is President of the 4As.

At its convention in 2007, AFTRA announced its intention to resign from the 4As and affiliate directly with the AFL-CIO. The move was opposed by the Screen Actors Guild, which feared that AFTRA was using direct affiliation as a ploy to strengthen its position in ongoing jurisdictional disputes with SAG. In November 2007, however, the 4As rejected a resolution offered by SAG which would have put limitations on AFTRA's move to leave the 4As and affiliate directly with the AFL-CIO.
