-
Drassanes is a station in the Barcelona Metro network. It's located underneath Portal de Santa Madrona in El Raval, which is nowadays included in the district of Ciutat Vella of Barcelona, by the old port (Port Vell) and the old docks from which it takes its name (Reials Drassanes in Catalan or Reales Atarazanas in Spanish). It's the closest station to the Port of Barcelona. The station served by L3 (green line), between Liceu and Paral·lel. It can be accessed from La Rambla and from Avinguda de les Drassanes.
The station opened in 1968 as part of the former line III. Its first official name was in Spanish: Atarazanas, and was changed into its Catalan form in 1982, when the whole metro network changed its numbering and some of the station names.
