Silvena Rowe

Silvena is known as the "Queen of Eastern European Cuisine". An outspoken TV chef presenter and food writer, Silvena has - in her own words - "a strong and ballsy" TV presence. Her style of cuisine has been described as honest, robust and rugged.

Silvena lives in France and Turkey with her British husband Malcolm and her two sons.

Silvena was the midweek food writer for The Guardian, where she had a regular column - Party Paupers.

She has cooked for Claudia Schiffer, Tina Turner and Cher. Her book "Feasts" won a prestigious "Glendfiddich food and drink award" in May 2007 but the highlight of Silvena’s work for 2007 was her consultancy and styling work for David Cronenberg’s latest film "Eastern Promises", where she produced glamorous Russian food, described as the "jewels of the Tzar’s crown" by Jonathan Ross.

Silvena is the executive chef for Baltic restaurant group. She has appeared several times on BBC One's Saturday Kitchen.

She is renowned worldwide for her cooking expertise and having appeared on television programmes such as Saturday Kitchen, Great Food Live, Soapstar Superchef, BBC and Channel Five news, she has become one of the most wanted television chefs by companies and businesses all over the world. She remains very patriotic to her native homeland, Bulgaria, and is inspired by the food of her country.
