A&M Records was a cover of the classic Fever in 1978. The single was also released exclusively in the UK and Australia. This single also became very popular without the benefit of appearing on any major chart. This was followed by the release of a 12" remix of the song later in 1978.The song was popularized by
Peggy Lee in 1958 and recorded by a number of artists including Madonna, Beyoncé,Bette Midler ,Rose McGowan , andElla Fitzgerald .The b-side "See You 'Round Like A Record" was a retro/50's-style song about a string of relationships and flings. Strangely enough, the promotional versions of this single did not contain the song as a b-side. Instead a karaoke version of "Fever" was in its place. The promotional single also contained a flip-book of Nell dancing and a button.
All releases of this single have been out-of-print for years now and are very hard to find. However, the yellow vinyl seven-inch is the easiest of all the releases to find.

Like almost every artist, Nell struggled with her record company for the right promotion. Even though her debut single became popular and gained a cult reputation, her label felt it was a failure for not selling well and not charting. Nell pushed for a video shoot for the song and even came up with her own ideas for how the video should go. Unfortunately, her label thought a video would be too costly to produce and opted to release a remix single instead.
