Emma Jones (born 23 May, 1975 in Mold, Flintshire),citeweb|url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northeast/guides/halloffame/showbiz/emma_jones.shtml|title=Emma Jones|publisher=BBC Wales|accessdate=2008-06-22] is a Welsh newspaper and television journalist.

Educated at Mold Alun School, Jones graduated from Staffordshire University in Politics and Philosophy, before joining the newspaper in her home town of Mold, Flintshire. Asked to cover the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod, she met violinist Nigel Kennedy and for whom she went to work for.

Jones then moved to Fleet Street working on a variety of stories, from hard news to showbiz at the "Sunday Mirror," then "The Mail On Sunday" and "The Sun." Offered the post of editor of "Smash Hits" magazine in 2001, Jones was lured back to "The Sun" in 2002 to become its youngest columnist. Twice nominated for the UK Press Gazette Young Journalist of the Year Award, former Sun editor David Yelland described her as "the brightest young female voice in Britain."

After returning to "The Sun," she also became a regular contributor to Radio and TV, co-presenting the National TV Awards for ITV2 with Tess Daly. She was also the youngest woman ever to appear on BBC One’s "Question Time." She was axed from "The Sun" when Rebekah Wade replaced Yelland as its editor.
