- Christopher Duncan Hays

Christopher Duncan Hays (1800–1879) was Master of the ship "Reliance". He is believed to have invented the "twin screw" for ships.[citation needed] He was married to Jane Blaxland (1810–1890), daughter of Sir Gregory Blaxland (1788–1853) on June 10, 1829. His grave is at Eden, New South Wales.
