"The District" is a weekly alternative newspaper published in Long Beach, California, USA. It was founded in 2007.

Will Swaim, a former editor of "OC Weekly", is the publisher of "The District".

Like other alternate papers, it mixes news stories, feature stories, and extensive entertainment listings.

"The District" is mostly circulated in Long Beach and surrounding cities, but is available in a wide area from Newport Beach in Orange County to Torrance at the end of the South Bay. It is free of charge and advertiser-supported.
