Parker Island

Parker Island

Parker Island is a roughly 400 acre (161.9 ha) island in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. It is located off Montague Harbour, the ferry terminal on western Galiano Island connecting to the other Gulf Islands, and sheltering it from Trincomali Channel, which is the main body of water between Galiano and Saltspring Islands.

Parker Island [BCGNIS|16009|Parker Island] is named after Lieutenant George Ferdinand Hastings Parker of the HMS "Ganges", flagship of the Royal Navy's Pacific Station, which was based in Esquimalt.
