Arne Maasik (born
28 April 1971 ) is an Estonianarchitect andphotographer .Biography
Arne Maasik is active as an architect and artist since graduating from
Estonian Academy of Arts in 1995. In 1997 he ended his postgradual studies there.Worked as an architect for architect's office Künnapu & Padrik from 1996 to 2003, for example participating in designing of Palm Tree House of theTallinn Botanical Garden s, Radisson SAS Hotel, the Viru Centre (all inTallinn ).From 2003 to 2007 Arne Maasik was active as a creative executive in "Zepp Grafelin", a company specialized in photographing architecture and urban structures and organizing exhibitions. He is also a founder and owner of photography company "Decadencity" (since 2007).Arne Maasik has lectured at the Department of Photography at the Estonian Academy of Arts and at the Tartu Higher School of Art.He has contributed to publications such as
Architectural Review (UK),AD (UK), A10 (Holland),Stauba (Czech Republic),Arkkitehti (Finland), and Estonian magazines Maja, Eramu, Projekt & Ehitus, kunst.ee, Estonian Art, Vikerkaar, and Ehituskunst.Arne Maasik is a member of
Estonian Artists' Association (since 2003)andEstonian Students' Society (since 1995).
