The Guns are a Rock four-piece band from south Wales. After a very small amount of gigs played locally the band were picked up by lostprophets to support them on their Liberation Transmission tour. On this tour they put out a three-track demo for sale at gigs and through the band's MySpace. The band have since been touring and working extensively on their debut album which will be entitled With The Guns.

Biography

*After the once highly popular South Wales band When Reason Sleeps, which contained the frontman for fellow Welsh band The Blackout, Sean Smith, broke up, lead singer Alex Wiltshire formed The Guns as his newest project.

*After supporting lostprophets on their headline UK tour The Guns have toured throughout the UK. The Guns have also made, to date, four appearances on ITV 1's The Guestlist which a live music show show-casing upcoming and established musicians. The band also featured on the main stage of the Full Ponty Festival with the likes of The Blackout, Reel Big Fish and lostprophets.

*The Guns have been hotly-tipped for success and have turned down major record companies in order to maintain a 'DIY' feel to their own music. Their progress on record as well as live has been followed by press such as Kerrang! Magazine and Rock Sound Magazine who have both given very positive reactions to The Gun's live shows. Also the band have given interviews and received articles in newspapers such as Metro and the Western Mail.

*It was in the Western Mail that it was first reported that The Guns are currently being constantly filmed for a documentary or possibly an actual film which has been pitched to UK television channels Channel 4 and MTV.
