Shankarpali is a

carbohydrates , making it an instant source of energy.Ingredients
Shankarpali is typically made from a mixture of
Milk ,Sugar ,Ghee ,Maida ,Semolina andSalt .Milk : 1 CupSugar : 1 CupGhee : 1/2 CupMaida : 2 Cups Semolina : 1 CupSalt to taste.
Preparation
The mixture is made into dough and then mechanically cut into diamond shaped units which are deep fried in
Ghee orButter 1. First boil the milk in a vessel. Add the sugar and stir for it to dissolve. Then add the ghee and salt and mix well.2. Then remove from fire. Add maida and rawa (slightly fried) to the mix.Knead the dough and keep aside for 2 / 3 hours.3. Roll it as making a Chappati with a rolling pin. With a cutter make diamond shaped shankarpalis. Fry in ghee till brown.
