Thr Western Galaxias is found to inhabit many water ways in the South West corner of Western Australia. From North of Perth to as far East as Albany. Able to habit a range of conditions from fresh water pools to slow-flowing saline rivers. It can often be found in and around submerged vegetation in rocky pools at the base of rapids and waterfalls.
Diet
Galaxias occidentalis is carnivorous and mainly feeds on small insects and crustaceans.
