Gyula Kabos

Gyula Kabos (19 March, 1887; Budapest - 6 October, 1941; New York). He was a successful Hungarian actor and comedian who emigrated to the United States.-Due to the increasing antisemitism in Hungary.- He was famous for his roles in the late 1930s. He accepted roles generally only in comedy films.

Life

* 1905 - Finished the Solymosi Elek's acting school
* 1918 - Founded a theater in Nagyvárad (Oradea)
* 1919 - 1920 - Went back to Budapest and continues to act in the Dunaparti theater
* 1926 - 1929 - Is the member of the Operetta-Theater in Budapest
* 1939 - Emigrates to the USA, but the Kabos stage closes after a month (in New York)
* 1940 - Disappointments
* 1941 - 6 October - Died at the age of 54; New York, USA
* 1996 - 30 November - His body is reburied in the Farkasréti cemetery.
