"The World Is Yours" is a b-side from Angel Dust by the band Faith No More. It is noted for being one of the two songs written by Faith No More to have been released from the albums excluded songs, the other being "Das Schutzenfest". All other songs that have been released have been covers. It was only released in 1998 on their compilation "Who Cares a Lot?" on the bonus disc, as well as on the re-release single of "I Started a Joke", from the same year.
The song originally had a demo name of "The Sample Song", for its sample at the beginning, which repeats "Aim! Fire!". The song also contains a portions of the Budd Dwyer suicide, mostly him saying "Stay away, this thing will hurt someone".
The song was performed only three times live, only prior to the album being released. The only other songs that were played prior to the albums release were "Caffeine" and "RV". Mike Bordin has described the song in an interview about the three songs played live in 1991 "One was fairly slow, but extremely, you know, like a steam roller. Just, oh, bum you out and ruin your day" [ [http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fgJHRsvOJHg bordin interview 92] ] .
