Shunichi Suzuki (politician)

is a Japanese politician serving in the House of Representatives as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. A native of Iwate Prefecture and graduate of Waseda University, he was elected for the first time in 1990.

Suzuki served as Minister of the Environment from 2002 to 2003 under Junichiro Koizumi. He is the son of former Prime Minister Zenko Suzuki, and brother-in-law to current PM Taro Aso.
