Antony Trew as well as being a writer was a sailor, and a corporate executive. In retirement in lives in
Weybridge (UK)WWII
In the
World War II he served with theSouth Africa Royal Navies in theAtlantic , theMediterranean and theWestern Approaches . As such he was in command of the escort destroyer HMS Walker. He also served on theArctic Convoys and was awarded the DSC (Distinguished Service Cross).Peace Time
After WWII he resumed his work with the AA (Automobile Association) of
