"Night of the Meek"" is the first segment of the thirteenth episode from the television series the The New Twilight Zone. It is a remake of the original The Twilight Zone series episode, where Santa Claus was played by Art Carney.

ynopsis

A department store Santa Claus is fired from his job after coming to work while drunk. Slowly but surely the man begins to turn into the real Santa. And when he gets a sack that automatically fills with whatever present the customer wants he begins to give out free things to everyone who asks.

Unfortunately the owner of the department store from which the Santa was fired becomes angry and is convinced that the Santa stole the gifts he is giving away from his store and calls the police.

Santa then finds his bag filled with receipts and is cleared of all charges. The owner was sitting outside as the Santa came outside and the owner wants to know how he did it, the receipts than vanish and the Santa told him it's magic. He than gave the owner a fur coat for his wife and a baseball for his son. The Santa than went back to his room and was going to remove the beard, but it wouldn't come off, he than relize that his body has changed and that he became the new the Santa Clause and use magic to go up the chimney. The owner is walking to his car with the stuff he got and heard bells and the jolly laugh of Santa Clause.
