List of LYNX public art artists

This is a list of LYNX public art artists, who contributed to public art projects along the LYNX Blue Line in Charlotte, North Carolina. As part of the budget for the LYNX system, a percentage of the overall cost was reserved for both the purchase and display of public art along the route. Through the utilization of less than 1 percent of the overall design and construction budget, 13 artists were selected to design displays for each of the Blue Line's 15 stations.cite web

*Alice Adams: Adams is responsible for the design of the scoring patterns marking stations called Evergreen Encyclopedia and Celtic Calendar. Additionally, she is responsible for the relief images placed on walls along the route.

*Nancy Blum: Blum is responsible for the design of the bronze, dogwood inspited water fountains located on all 15 station platforms.

*Shaun Cassidy: Cassidy is responsible for the design and fabrication of 40 sections of fencing to be utilized at 10 station platforms. Each section will resemble a leaf from a tree species native to the neighborhood where the station is located. Additionally, the tree veins on each leaf will be designed to replicate the street layout of the neighborhood where the station is located. Cassidy also played a role in the design of both the seat fabric and ceiling graphics for each light rail vehicle.

*Richard Elliott: Elliott is responsible for the "Tower of Light" display as part of the customization of the elevator at the Archdale station.

*Hoss Haley: Haley is responsible for the design of five handmade bronze sculptures that will double as station seating.

*Leticia Huerta: Huerta is responsible for the design of the platform pavers, mosaic tiles, and the glass etching designs at all 11 stations between the I-485/South Boulevard and Carson stations.

*Andrew Leicester: Leicester is responsible for the design of the platform pavers and column design at the CTC/Arena station.

*Dennis Oppenheim: Oppenheim is responsible for the sculpture entitled "Reconstructed House" located beneath the Tyvola station.

*Jody Pinto: Pinto is responsible for the fiberglass canopies located at the 3rd Street station.

*Marek Ranis: Ranis is responsible for the designs along the retaining walls located between the I-485/South Boulevard and Archdale stations.

*Thomas Sayre: Sayre is responsible for the sculptures entitled "Furrow" located in the median of South Boulevard at the Scaleybark station.

*Thomas Thoune: Thoune is responsible for the convert|360|ft|m|sing=on long wall mural at the East/West station.

*Yuriko Yamaguchi: Yamaguchi is responsible for various bronze sculptures placed at a pair of stations located in the South End.
