RockFood's articles are written by a voluntary group of staff, with printing costs financed by small amounts of advertising revenue. Until August 2007 RockFood was financed entirely by advertising for
Leicester Square Ltd. , but since this date it has become entirely independent - principally (and surprisingly) because of their desire to switch to recycled paper stock, which due to printing constraints was not possible with the previous backers. Distribution is managed by a voluntary promotions team.Readership
The readership is currently thought to be around 4,000 throughout Leicester and the surrounding area.
