John Campbelljohn

Combing his exciting guitar work & powerful songwriting, Atlantic Canadian singer/slide/pedal steel guitarist & songwriter John Campbelljohn is a multiple award winner. Growing up with plenty of music in his Cape Breton/Nova Scotia home, Campbelljohn was enamored with the guitar from an early age.

By-passing Celtic music that his community enjoyed, he took up the guitar and studied blues roots artists like Son House, Fred McDowell & Robert Johnson. Eventually he put together a combo that combined his influences while returning to his Cape Breton roots.

"How Does It Feel?" was released in 1993 and critics in Canada and the U.S. alike caught onto his sound. His next record, "Hook Slide & Sinker" saw Campbelljohn get his first European release followed by "Nerves Of Steel", "The World Is Crazy/Live In Germany", "Under The Blue Covers", "Weight Of The World" & "Official Bootleg", even getting notice from "Rolling Stone Magazine".
