Formerly known as PDS School. Currently Seri Mulia Sarjana School, known in the Malay language as: Sekolah Seri Mulia Sarjana and abbreviated as SMSS, is located in the Brunei-Muara District of Brunei and was founded on 13 January 1992. The school believes in 'Education For All Children'. It has followed this motto since the inauguration of the school on 13 January in 1992 and will carry this with it through the years to come. In its commitment to the motto of patriotism, values and excellence in education and its desire to uphold the ideal standard or educating the youth, the school aspired to excel in all areas of academics, instill love and appreciation in music, culture and sports, enhance leadership potential, responsibility and self esteem, refine positive values of hard work, honesty, respect and sensitivity to the needs of others and to develop the future leaders of the nation accordance with the objectives and aspirations of His Majesty's Government.

History

Originally a Preschool with only 14 students, it has grown to include the Primary Levels and enrolled 1000 students in 5 years.

Today, after more than 10 years of continuous operation, it caters for the educational needs of over 2,000 students and is among the 5 private schools nationwide offering Secondary Level Education. It has expanded to three locations, each catering to a different curricular level. It is also the youngest private school to have been granted a Secondary Section in Brunei Darussalam.

BLUE: Symbolizes the peace and nobility of Negara Brunei Darussalam

RED: Symbolizes ambition and the zeal to excel

WHITE: Symbolizes the innocence of youth and purity of soul

BOOK AND PEN: Symbolizes learning and acquisition of knowledge

YELLOW LEAVES: Connotes the leadership quality that the school would like to develop in her students (i.e. in accordance to the principles of "Melayu Islam Beraja") and His Majesty's Government.

THE TORCH: Epitomizes the aim of the school in giving her students a bright future with the power of knowledge and sound moral values.



New Name

After 16 years, PDS School changed its name to Seri Mulia Sarjana School, likewise PDS International School became Seri Mulia Sarjana International School on the 15th June 2008 on the same event with Walkathon 2008.
