The Tallawarra Power Station is a closed coal fired power station in the Illawarra district of New South Wales, Australia. The station opened in 1954 and reached full operation in 1961. The station closed in 1989, and stood abandoned by the foreshore of Lake Illawarra. It was progressively demolished to ground level over a ten-year period.
