Dave Davies (born 1953, Texas) is an American print and broadcast journalist. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1975.
Davies has reported since 1990 on government and politics at the Philadelphia Daily News, where as of 2007[update] he is a senior writer. In 1993, he was offered the post of press secretary to Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell, and had accepted, but then reversed his decision and declined the post the next week.[1]
Davies has also worked in radio for station KYW in Philadelphia. On National Public Radio (NPR), Davies has served as a political commentator, and as a substitute host interviewer on Terry Gross' program Fresh Air and the Philadelphia NPR program Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane from WHYY-FM.[2]
