The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is a non-profit association for health information management (HIM) professionals. The organization was founded in 1928, and has 51,000 members.
The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is the professional organization for health information managers formerly known as medical record administrators. HIM professionals typically work in hospitals but also work in nursing homes,public health, data management companies and consulting firms. HIM professionals typically operate hospitals' medical record department.
