Phil Swern

Phil Swern (born Anthony Philip Swern on 30 June 1948 in Ealing) is a radio producer and music collector. He was formerly a record producerFact|date=July 2008 and songwriterFact|date=July 2008, he has also written for televisionFact|date=July 2008. He currently produces Pick of the Pops and Sounds of the 60s and formerly produced the Bob Harris Show (Saturday nights) for BBC Radio 2Fact|date=July 2008. He also devises the questions for the Popmaster quiz on Radio 2's Ken Bruce Show.Fact|date=July 2008

His first job was as an apprentice hairdresser working for Vidal SassoonFact|date=July 2008. He left this job to be a record 'plugger' and began collecting recordsFact|date=July 2008. His first record production work was Horace Faith's recording of Black Pearl for Trojan Records in 1970 [ [http://www.discogs.com/release/536470 Horace Faith Black Pearl / Help Me Help Myself] ] .
