Lesley Ann Jones was born September 18, 1956 to Kenneth and Kathleen (Watkins) Jones. Her father was a sports journalist for the "Daily Mirror".

Jones married Gerard Shine on February 17, 1996 in Caxton Hall,
London . The couple divorced in 2007. Jones has three children: Mia Jones (b. 1987), Henry Shine (b. 1997) and Bridie Shine (b. 1999).Published works
