- The Soviet Paradise
The Soviet Paradise was the name of an exhibition, which was organized by the "
Reichspropagandaleitung " of theNSDAP and was displayed from May 8 to June 21, 1942 in theLustgarten inBerlin . Its goal was to show "poverty, misery, depravity and need" in theSoviet Union and to justify the war against the Soviet Union. According to official information, 1.3 million people visited the show.On May 18 a
Jewish -Communist resistance group called "Baum-Group" organized an arson, that only caused little damage. At least 33 people were executed. A short propaganda film was created to supplement the exhibition.External links
