SQL Server (ISSN-1522-2187) is a trade publication and web site owned by Penton Media serving the information needs of IT Professionals in various fields including data processing, computer related consulting and many other areas.

The Editorial and Strategy Director is Karen Forster, with the editorial offices located in Loveland, Colorado, USA.

Established in 1999, SQL Server magazine is published monthly. Common topics of the magazine include a data warehousing, data mining, decision support, and OLAP systems.

SQL Server and its sister magazine, "Windows IT Pro", reach very similar audiences. SQL Server magazine, however, focuses more on Microsoft's Relational Database Management System than Windows IT Pro, which has a broader focus.

SQL Server is one of several products included in Penton Technology Media, some other products are Windows IT Pro and MSD2D. As of December 2006, total BPA audited circulation is 32,235 subscribers.
