Fence is a village in Pendle, Lancashire. Is is close to the towns of Nelson and Burnley. It lies on the A6068 road, known locally as the Padiham bypass.

Fence hosts many public houses for its small size, including The Forest Inn, The Fence Gate Inn, The Swan Inn, The Harpers Inn and Ye Old Sparrowhawk. Besides pubs, fence enjoys a local art gallery, which was once a bakery. Fence has a methodist primary school and family-run post office that delivers daily newspapers to the surrounding area including Higham, Newchurch and part of Barrowford. Being at the foot of Pendle Hill, Fence has long shared a history with the Pendle witches and many of the local's surnames are shared with the historical witches; for example, the Nutter family name.
