Yujiro Ishihara (石原裕次郎; "Ishihara Yūjirō",
December 28 ,1934 –July 17 ,1987 ) was a Japaneseactor and singer born in Kobe. His elder brother,Shintaro Ishihara , is an author, politician, and the current Governor ofTokyo . Yujiro debuted in 1956 in "Season of the Sun," based on a novel written by his brother. As a representative youth star in films of the immediate postwar, and subsequently as a macho movie hero, he was beloved by many fans, who extravagantly mourned his early death at 52.His Filmographies and discographies are still alive among the Showa-period lovers. At the date of his early death, 17th July (1987), the mourning ceremony is often broadcasted on TV.
He died on July 17th, 1987 from liver cancer.
