website_name =Eirias High School is situated in
Colwyn Bay ,North Wales . The school has around 1500 pupils and over 90 teachers and staff. The school’s name is derived from its location, the grounds ofEirias Park which is a Welsh word, loosely translated to Red Hot. Its modern facilities include up-to-date science laboratories, modern computing facilities, and a high-speed schoolinternet network. The currentheadmaster is Phil McTague, who took over from Clive Hampton in 2006. The school's dress code is a maroon jumper with the Eirias crest (a book with a tree coming out of it) on it, black trousers/skirt, a white shirt and a tie with black, maroon and silver stripes. In the 2008-2009 term four houses were introduced with different tie colours for each; red, green, blue and yellow. At the same time as the introduction of the houses a new block has been started to be built.Awards
