United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 56.2square mile s (145.7km² ), of which, 53.8 square miles (139.4 km²) of it is land and 2.4 square miles (6.3 km²) of it (4.32%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 351 people, 140 households, and 100 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 6.5 people per square mile (2.5/km²). There were 308 housing units at an average density of 5.7/sq mi (2.2/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.57% of the population.There were 140 households out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.6% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.9% were non-families. 21.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 2.91.
