[ [http://www.djmag.com/index.php?op=top100dj&top100dj_op=results&results_op=page2&year=2006 DJmag.com: Top 100 DJs - Results and History ] ] ]Amadeus (Chadi Mansour), born in Lebanon in 1974, comes from a Business Administration and Marketing background which never kept him away from practicing his hobby, DJ-ing, in the late 80s.His musical influences came in the early 90s as he started spinning at local radio stations, such as Switch FM and Radio DJ. He was to achieve Lebanon's Number 2 DJ title in 1995, under the supervision of D.M.C. world champions, Q-Bert and Mix Master Mike.
In 1996, Amadeus was a member of the team that started Mix FM Lebanon, where he later established his popular radio show.
In 2002, he was the first DJ on "Rhythm Nation" on Mix FM Lebanon and Cyprus. Becoming the most listened to EDM radio show in the region, "Rhythm Nation" hosted the world's most renowned names in DJ-ing and producing, such as: Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, John 00 Fleming, John Askew, Judge Jules, Kyau vs Albert, Matt Darey, Aly & Fila and many others.
Amadeus has appeared as a guest DJ twice on Ministry of Sound Radio, with Above & Beyond, on one of the world's most popular trance radio shows, Trance Around the World.
He has done several guest mixes on the biggest online radio "Digitally Imported Radio", www.di.fm, with shows like: "Global Hurricane Relief Fundraiser", "World in Motion" and "Frequencies".
His sets on stage, alongside Sasha, Steve Lawler and Danny Howells, in 2003 - with Mix FM and Bacardi B-live - have shed the lights internationally as he became recognized by the region's promoters, and his fan base rapidly expanded and grew in Lebanon, the Middle East and Cyprus.
In 2004 and 2005 Amadeus performed in all the trance events organized and produced by Bacardi B-Live and Mix FM, alongside the world's top DJs/producers such as: Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond.
2006 witnessed Amadeus's leap into the forefront of the region's clubbing scene. From Turkey to Jordan and Cyprus, and in his home country where he performed once more alongside big DJ names such as Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, Above & Beyond, Pete Tong and John Askew.
In Cyprus, Amadeus has headlined at four massive gigs, and warmed up for Paul Van Dyk at "Pavilion" Club, Nicosia.
Currently Amadeus is working at the studios, collaborating with several local and international DJs.
Amadeus is the First Lebanese DJ to have ever entered the DJ Mag Top 100;he was voted Number 24 DJ in the poll. However, there is another DJ Amadeus from New York who has not only taken credit for this feat but also has been booked in Asia and Europe due to the name "confusion".
