Acesander (Greek polytonic|Ακέσανδρος) wrote a history of
Cyrene . [Schol. "ad Apoll." iv. 1561, 1750] [Schol. "ad Pind. Pyth." iv. "init." 57]Plutarch speaks of a work of his respectingLibya ("polytonic|περί Λιβύης"), [Plutarch , "Symp." v. 2. § 8] which may possibly be the same work as the history of Cyrene. The time at which he lived is unknown. [Citation
