SHOBHIT Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut was established in the year 2000 at Meerut (U.P.), by NICE Society with a vision to develop a centre of excellence in the emerging areas of technology. It is on its way to provide value based professional education. The graduates of the Institution shall be capable to compete with the best professionals available.

Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology has been granted Deemed-to-be University status by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education vide its Notification No. F-9-37/2004-U.3(A) under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Shobhit University, stands for going beyond the established standards and nurtures technocrats and managers so that they have a global vision and insight in their chosen fields and are globally employable in emerging areas with special focus on 21st century professional requirements.
