Paul Nixon (footballer)

Paul Nixon (born Sunderland, UK) is a former professional footballer. He played for Bristol Rovers between 1988 and 1991, being known at the time as the "dribble king". He was brought over to New Zealand in his young 20s and played for the New Zealand national football team (the "All Whites") between 1988-1991. He now coaches a few football teams in New Zealand, icluding a girls' team and an 11th grade team and is head of football at Melville High School where he is the head of the physical education department. He has not yet retired from football entirely, playing for Claudeland Rovers in the local league in Hamilton, New Zealand. Nixon is one of the highest qualified in coaches in New Zealand.
