History
The 740th Missile Squadron was assigned to the 91st Strategic Reconnaissance Wing at
Lockbourne AFB ,Ohio , on25 June 1958 . The 91st Wing had been deactivated on8 November 1957 , but later redesignated the 91st Bombardment Wing and activated15 November 1962 atGlasgow AFB ,Montana . After being temporarily integrated along with the rest of the 91st Wing into theStrategic Air Command 'sArc Light Force for combat in Southeast Asia, the 740th returned on31 March 1967 . On25 June 1968 , the 91st was moved toMinot AFB ,North Dakota , where it absorbed the455th Strategic Missile Wing and was redesignated the91st Strategic Missile Wing .91st Bombardment Wing.
