Sea Swift is a regional sea freight company, operating from Cairns, Queensland to Thursday Island. The company ships dry and frozen cargo to 12 different islands. Commercial fishing vessels on the coast of Far North Queensland and in the Gulf of Carpentaria, use Sea Swift for stores receival, crew exchange, and product transfer.

In July 2005, Endeavour Shipping added Thursday Island to its weekly service between Cairns and Bamaga. This broke Sea Swift's monopoly on the shipping trade between Cairns and Thursday Island, and caused some shipping rates to drop by almost half.
